To Teach in the UK
|
|
To teach in the UK you will need to evidence that you have the appropriate qualifications,
either a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts with QTS or a relevant first degree with
a postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE). In addition you must be registered with the
GTC (General Teaching Council for England www.gtce.org.uk).

Overseas Teachers
|
|
If you are a qualified teacher that is coming to work in the UK, you must be able to evidence
that you hold fully qualified teacher status in your own country. To clarify your qualifications
you must contact the National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC)
www.naric.org.uk - you must be able to evidence a signed
copy of your accredition by Naric. It is recommended that all teachers obtain police clearance
from their country of origin prior to landing in the UK.
